Stages of Drug Addiction

Addiction is defined as a chronic disease where the person is unable to control their use of drugs or alcohol. There are three stages in addiction: pre-contemplation, contemplation, and preparation. The first stage is when the person isn't aware that they have an addiction problem and doesn't see themselves as an addict. The second stage is when the person has acknowledged their addiction but hasn't yet made any steps towards changing it. The third stage is when the person has already begun to make changes to overcome their addiction problem.

Victory Outreach provides help for those that find themselves addicted and are looking for help.

The FBI estimates a total of about 800,000 gang members spread out in 2,500 communities nationwide

There are 40 to 42 million prostitutes in the world, according to a report from Fondation Scelles (via La Figaro) Three quarters of them are between the ages of 13 and 25, and 80% of them are female.  It is estimated 1 million prostitutes live in the USA

There are more than 1.7 million children in the United States with an incarcerated parent (The Sentencing Project/Research and Advocacy for Reform, Feb. 2009).

One in 43 (2.3 percent) American children has a parent incarcerated in state or federal prison (Sentencing Project/Research and Advocacy for Reform, Feb. 2009).

Every day 4,356 Children are arrested, 2,383 Children are reported abused or neglected, 2,261 Children drop out of high school (Children’s Defense Fund 2008)

One day he will ask his dad and I to help him and the only thing we can do is direct him to a place that can help him . We cannot . I would like to be able to give him a contact number should he ever need it. Can you help with that? He is in Utah close to Salt Lake City

  2. Hello Pastor Dre,
Thankyou for posting this. I was having trouble finding a home for myself or much information.
I currently reside in Arizona. Temporarily. But am looking for a women’s home in California. Really anywhere…. Can you point in down the right road to a home you would recommend for women.
Also, what about the home in Reno, Nevada? I heard one good story from there.
I am very serious, and looking to leave here in one month. I am very scared. But making the right move and trying to organize my next journey.
    Respectfully,
    Naomi Overstreet

  4. Hello Victory Outreach. I am looking for a facility that can take my daughter in for alcoholism. Many places that I contacted have long wait lists (4-6 weeks) and I am seeking rehab that will take her in sooner. She has known the Lord. Every day that she is out here she is getting physically, emotionally, and financially abused. thank you for any help you can offer.
    Respectfully,
    Delma Gonzales
